Human Right and the Rule of Law Activities

 

George Dobry  was  born in Poland, and enjoyed a career as an English QC and Circuit Judge.  In the early 1990s he founded the British Centre for English and European Legal Studies at Warsaw University, before going on to found the Slynn Foundation, which he conceived as a vehicle for the exchange of knowledge and ideas between British lawyers and judges and their counterparts in the emerging democracies of Central and Eastern Europe.

The Slynn Foundation continues to support the rule of law today by assisting judiciaries with training and advice drawing trainers from the highest levels of retired and serving English judiciary, senior barristers, lawyers and legal professionals.  Since 2020 the Foundation has expanded its work offering programmes to an international audience with projects in countries including Brunei Darussalam Saudi, Uzbekistan and Tanzania (see where we work
